Oriental Flower and Table Set


Use plastic canvas to Put the finishing touches on your table with this three-piece set, including a place card holder; napkin ring and flower vase.

Finished Size: 
Place Card Holder : 4.25 inches W x 1.75 inches H x 2 inches D
Napkin Ring: 2 inches W x 2 inches L x 2 inches in diameter
Vase: 2.75 inches W x 3 3/8 inches H x 7/8 inches D


YOU'LL NEED
  I sheet 7-count plastic canvas.
 Coats & Clark Red Heart Super Saver worsted weight yarn Art. E301 as listed in color key
 DMC #3 pearl cotton as listed in color key.
  #16 tapestry needle
  Hot-glue gun

INSTRUCTIONS
1 Cut one each of vase front and back, two medallions and one napkin ring according to graphs.
2 Cut two 24-hole x 10-hole pieces for holder front and back. one 24-hole x 3 hole piece for holder bottom, one 24- hole x 2-hole piece for holder lip.


3 Cut two 5-hole x 27-hole pieces for vase side and one 7-hole x 5-hole piece for vase bottom.
4 Stitch vase sides and bottom and holder, front, back, bottom and lip with mint Continental Stitches.
5 Stitch remaining pieces following graphs, working uncoded areas with mint Continental Stitches. Work embroidery with pearl cotton when background stitching is completed.

ASSEMBLY 
1 Use mint for overcasting and whipstitching throughout assembly.
For place card holder. Whipstitch wrong sides of front and back together along one long edge.
2 With right sides together, Whipstitch one  long edge of holder bottom to bottom edge or front. With right side of lip facing out, Whipstitch holder lip to holder bottom. Overcast all remaining edges of holder and of one medallion.
3 Using photo as a guide, glue medallion to right side of holder.
4 For napkin ring, Whipstitch short edges of ring together, then Overcast remaining medallion edges and remaining medallion. Glue medallion to ring. covering seam.
5 For vase, Whipstitch 7-hole  edges of vase bottom to bottom edge of vase front and back,. then Whipstitch sides to bottom, front and back: Overcast top edges.
