Crochet Puzzle Ball Tawashi For Your Dishes

4 inches in diameter
MATERIALS 
• Pisgah Yarn 84 Dyeing Co. Peaches & Creme medium (worsted) weight cotton yarn (2.5 oz/122 yds/ 71g per ball):
1 ball each #51 apple green and #31 shocking pink
• Size H/8/5mm crochet hook
• Tapestry needle
GAUGE 
Gauge is not important for this item.

SPECIAL STITCH 
Foundation half double crochet (foundation hdc):
Ch 2, yo, insert hook in 2nd ch from hook, yo, pull lp through, yo, pull through 1 lp on hook
(ch-1 completed), yo, pull through all lps on hook (hdc completed), [yo, insert hook in ch-1 just completed, yo, pull lp through, yo, pull through 1 lp on hook (ch-1), yo, pull through all lps on hook (hdc)] as indicated.
INSTRUCTIONS 
BALL 
Row 1: With shocking pink, work foundation hdc for 20 inches. At end of last st, fasten off.
Row 2: Join apple green with sl st in first st, hdc in same st and in each st across. Fasten off.
Row 3: With shocking pink, rep row 2.
Row 4: Rep row 2.
Row 5: Join shocking pink with sl st in first st, hdc in same st and in each st across. Leaving long end, fasten off.
FINISHING
Fold according to Folding Diagram (see Fig. 1).
Sew short ends tog.
