Primrose Plastic Canvas Box





Size:
9.8 cm x 10.2 cm x 8.9 cm
Materials:
One sheet of 7 -count plastic canvas
9mm round amethyst faceted acrylic stone
20.3 cm white 6mm satin ribbon
19mm pieces of 3mm pearl stem
Craft glue or glue gun
Worsted-weight or plastic canvas yarn.
CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS: 
NOTE: 
 A: For box sides. cut two 11 x 39 holes.
 B: For box rim, cut one according to graph.
 C: For box bottom and lid top. cut two (one for bottom and one for top) according to graph.
 D: For lid lining, cut one accord-ing to graph.
 E: For lid lip pieces, cut two 2 x 29 holes.
 F: For flower petals, cut four according to graph. 

G: For large leaf, cut one according to graph.
 H: For small leaves, cut two according to graph. 

STITCHING INSTRUCTIONS:
NOTE: One C piece is not worked for box bottom.
 1: Using colors and stitches indicated, work A (see Herringbone Stitch Illustration ). B, one C for lid top, D (leave uncoded area unworked) and E-H pieces according to graphs; with baby pink. Overcast cutout edges of B. With matching colors, Overcast edges of F-H pieces.
 2: Whipstitch and assemble A-E pieces as indicated on graphs. 
NOTE: Separate maple into 2-ply or nylon plastic canvas yarn into 1-ply strands.
 3: Using 2-ply (or 1 -ply) maple and Backstitch, embroider detail on F pieces as indicated. 
4: Glue F pieces and pearls together according to Primrose Assembly Illustration. 
5: Tie ribbon into a bow, or cut and glue ribbon pieces together; glue stone to center of bow.
 6: Glue bow, leaves and flower to center top of lid as desired or as shown in photo.

Step 1: With baby pink, Whipstitch E pieces together and to right side of D: Overcast unfinished edges of E pieces. 
Step 2: With pink, Whipstitch D and lid top C wrong sides together. forming lid. 
Step 3: Whipstitch A, B and box bottom C pieces together, forming box.
